Jen Penerya

JEN PENERYA is a director of diversity, equity, & inclusion project management at Silicon Valley Bank, where she plays an integral role in building and executing the company’s corporate DE&I initiatives. She drives cross-functional collaboration across the organization to promote an inclusive workplace culture. She works with key leaders to integrate a DE&I perspective throughout corporate objectives, using strategic communications, learning experiences, diversity recruitment and retention programs, and thought leadership with external diversity organizations. She has over sixteen years of experience as a diversity and recruitment professional. Previously, she managed firm-wide diversity talent programs, employee resource groups, branding and communications, and strategic external partnerships at Charles Schwab, and prior to that role, led recruiting and diversity initiatives for the San Francisco law firm of Farella Braun + Martel LLP. Penerya graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a BA in english and psychology. @svb_financial
