SANDRINE PIRET-GERARD serves as SVP U.S. Commercial at Gilead Sciences. Under her leadership, Gilead works to ensure that patients in the U.S. have access to the company’s transformational medicines in HIV, hepatitis, COVID-19 and Oncology. Piret-Gerard joined Gilead Sciences in 2022 after 19 years at Novartis, where she held roles of increasing responsibilities across geographies (E.U. and U.S.) and therapeutic areas (cardiovascular, neuroscience, dermatology, and oncology). Before joining Novartis, Piret-Gerard worked at the Boston Consulting Group where she was a member of the Healthcare Practice Group. Piret-Gerard holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Universite Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, and a MBA from INSEAD, France/Singapore. She has been recognized among the 40 under 40 in business in Germany in 2014, among the 40 above 40 – The World’s Most Inspiring Women in 2022, and among the Top 5 Most Influential Women Leaders in Healthcare in the US in 2023.
